Kendall County Texas AgriLife Extension Service is located in the Texas Hill Country, which is noted for its beautiful scenery. The county seat, Boerne, is conveniently located on I-10 just a few miles northwest of San Antonio. The Extension Program, directed by the Kendall County Leadership Advisory Board, strives to serve a diverse population of ranchers, landowners, commuters and small business people. The county is largely rural with numerous communities including Comfort, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bergheim, Kendalia, Waring, Welfare and Sisterdale. Boerne ISD, Comfort ISD and Blanco ISD provide education for the youth of the county.
Mission: To provide quality relevant educational programs and services to the people of Kendall County.
Extension brings the resources from the Texas A&M University System to Kendall County. Through field based faculty, Extension provides unbiased, research-based information, educational programs, and technical assistance in the following core service areas:
