Brush Field Day

Kendall County AgriLife Brush Field Day Reschedule Date is August 13th, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Stephen Zoeller, Kendall County AgriLife Extension Agent will be hosting a Brush Field Day August 13, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. approximately one acre brush tracts have been cleared by Cedar Eaters, Jennings Ranch Services and Langenberg Speciality Services. Our goal is to follow each of these tracts throughout a 5 year period to observe the regrowth and maintenance of brush control in each tract.  Each of the above companies will be present to discuss the method of clearing.     The field day will be held on Ammann Road in Boerne at the ranch of Bill Sultenfuss.    Entrance to the program is through a ranch gate off Ammann Rd., Boerne, Texas  with no address posted on it.  The entrance for the program is the gate located DIRECTLY PAST 246 AMMANN RD, there is a cellular tower at this entrance.  Please look for our signs at the entrance indicating “Brush Field Day”.

A biologist from Texas Parks and Wildlife will discuss plants that are important to wildlife; Megan Clayton with Texas A&M AgriLIfe Extension will discuss brush control and plant management for livestock.

Continuing education credits (3) will be available for this program.  Cost of this program is $10.00 cash or checks will be accepted – Checks payable to “Kendall Ag Fund”.
